Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Research at both undergraduate and postgraduate level is encouraged through the curriculum.  Further,
faculty and students undertake short- and long-term research projects leading to publications in national and international journals. There is an adequate facility available for contemporary and inter-disciplinary research.

Few of the core thrust areas of teaching and research are :

·         Reconstruction and Rehabilitation

·         Early detection and management of Oral Cancer

·         Facial Aesthetic and rejuvenation procedures

·         Maxillofacial Trauma

·         Correction of jaw deformities and facial esthetic and

·         Diseases of temporomandibular joint
